I’m an actor, singer, and playwright and I live in the greatest city in the world (in the greatest city in the world *snaps*).
The city has been calling my name since I was a youngin’, and I finally found a spot amongst the skyline by way of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. There, my already over exuberant dramatic nature was shaped by both the Meisner Studio and The Stonestreet Studio for Film and Television.
I’m always one for the dramatics, but it was music that called me to the arts. Always bursting with song, fancying myself the star in my own Disney movie, I soon joined the church choir to gain a sense of stage presence, cause that’s what church is for, right?
While warbling through bread, blood, and lambs was always a laugh, songs woven with tales mixed with some elaborate tap numbers and a jazz hand or two were far more enticing.
Sugar, spice and everything nice is one thing, but storytelling, music, and overly enthusiastic emotions were the key ingredients to make the perfect little Emma. My performances have ranged from RENT and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee to Big Love, Love’s Labor’s Lost and a series of Chekov works. I’ve extended my training through both sketch and improv classes at Upright Citizen’s Brigade and even dove head first into the world of zoom theater in The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon. I
Where performance is vital to me, there is so much more to what I am. One of the greatest things I’ve done for my career thus far was spending six months in London for an academic semester. It allowed me the space to breath and grow as a person, which in turn has helped me grow as an artist.
A major goal for myself as an artist is to write and be a part of my own work, help shape the future of theatre and storytelling as it stands. Storytelling in any medium is my passion and I strive to make my mark amongst the best of them.
