mUSINGS OF AN ARTIST’S MIND
Hadestown
I can’t remember the last time I sat in a theatre and lost myself completely in the story on stage. The last time my actor or playwright brain didn’t pitch in about something this or that. The last time I just gave myself fully to the story being told. Maybe it was because I knew the story so well, knew the tale of tragedy and tragic love. Maybe it was because it was my first (seated/audience member) musical in a minute.
Whatever it was, I boarded that train to Hell and didn’t look back. I was with them for the long run, head first and soul deep in the tragedy woven before me.
